E1 Learn An Instrument:
The instrument I am learning the drums. I have an awesome tutor. His name is Karl and he can turn a such a simple beat into a masterpiece. I think that he is amazing at the drums and so does my mum. I have only just started, but my mum thinks I am really good. I might be doing the drums next term as well. But we will see. I really like the drums because I like the beats of the parts of the drums. I will list the parts of the drum kit.
High-Hat, Snare,Crash Symbol, Ride Symbol, Bass Drum, High Tom, Middle Tom, and Floor Tom.
My favorite beat is the Snare. I like the snare because there are little balls that vibrate to make a rattling sound. I am still a beginner but I think I am alright a playing the drums. I play the drums every Tuesday
I am a Year 8 student at Tauranga Intermediate School in New Zealand. I am in Rm42 and my teacher is Miss Campbell.

P5: Compete in a sport for a season

The sport that I am playing is Soccer. My coaches name is Crawford. I play for Waipuna. We have a really big team of about 15-18. My team says that I am the best but I don't believe them. Just because I take the goal kicks and corners, doesn't make me the best. I have a really awesome friend, his name is Jake. He is the same age as me. He is mostly a lefty and I am a righty.
The coach has a son and he is in my team as well. His name is Lee Simpson. He goes to Tauranga Intermediate, and he is in Tanekaha. The training days are Tuesday, game day is on Saturday. I am always excited to get up and play on Saturdays because I have a felling we will win or I might score.

Daily Blog Post: Bad Products
My bad product is Driver San Francisco. When I first got it I really wanted to download it. The Installation was successful. The game was not. When I first played it it lasted about ten minutes before it crashed. I played it again. It crashed again. My dad came to have a try and see what the problem was. It crashed for him as well. I really started to have some fun because my dad and I took crashes each. The game is really fun if it doesn't crash, I sort of hate that game now because I spent around $122 on it. All of my birthday money is just wasted
The game came with a map of San Francisco, a model of the Dodge Charger, Comic Book, and a Photo Frame.

G1: Give To Your Family, Create A Three Course Meal.
The First Course/ Entre: Scrabbled Egg Tarts:
The tarts took a really long time to cook, and I'm talking about 1 hour and a half. My dad keeped on hounding me to hurry up because he was starting to get annoyed. Although he was playing on the computer, he was getting really really hungry. The tarts tasted very delicious because the eggs had really good seasoning and the bacon made it stand out.
The Second Course/ Main: Sausages, Egg,Bacon Strips, Hash Browns:
The second course/main was the least favorite that night. The sausages were burned, the eggs were burned and the tasted bad. The sausages tasted alright because they had cheese in them and that was the high lite of the dish.
Third Course/Desert: Caramel Slice With Lollie Scramble:
The Desert was the best dish of the night. Oh my god it was so scrumptious. The caramel was so delicious because there was lots and lots of condescend milk in it. and the caramel in the caramel slice was about 1 - 3 cm of pure caramel. It was sooooo goood.

A5: Academic Excellence: Improve Your Study Skills.
What Is The Rimu Tree?:
Dacrydium Cupressinum, known as the Rimu tree is a large evergreen to the New Zealand forests. It is a member of the southern conifer group, the podocarps. The formal name "Red Pine" has fallen out of common use.
Facts On The Rimu:
Rimu is one of the most popular of our native timbers. Because it was used extensively in older character homes as both a structural and finishing timber, it is probably New Zealand’s best known native species. Rimu has been proven as a remarkably versatile and exceptionally beautiful timber. Good supplies of recycled rimu are available from a range of suppliers and demolition timber yards. Rimu timber can also be sourced from sustainably managed forests.
What It Looks Like:
As a young tree, it has bright olive-green weeping branches that are softly spiky to the touch, and as it matures these become drooping branches, both of which make it look very different from surrounding trees. The rimu is a member of the Podocarp family, and has ‘male’ and ‘female’ trees, different to most conifers, which tend to have both male (pollen) and female (seed) cones on the same tree.
Where Do You Find The Rimu Tree?:
The Rimu grows though out New Zealand, such as North Island, South Island, and Stewart Island/Rakiura. Although the largest concentration of trees is now found on the West Coast of the South Island, the biggest trees tend to be in mixed podocarps forests.
What Stuff Is Made From The Rimu Tree?:
Facts On The Rimu:
How Long Does It Live For?:
The Rimu lives for up to 800-900, can grow as high as 50meters high, 1.5 meters wide. the leaves are 7mm long, and 1mm wide. The Rimu is a canopy tree
Why Is The Rimu Important To Maori?:
With the name red pine falling out of favor, the Maori name for Dacrydium cupressinum, Rimu, has become accepted. The Maori, who were the original founders of New Zealand, used wood from the tree for boat building, wood carving and building homes. They also used the tree's gum for starting fires and chewing.
Why Is Rimu The Best Tree In The School?
It's just the best, just deal with it or back off!!

Cross Country:
Tuesday 3rd July, 2013
Yesterday we did the Tauranga Intermediate Cross Country. When we started the race, everyone got tripped up, I accidentally kneed somebody in the head. I thought of helping him back up but I told myself to push on. On the first lap I was around in the 100's - 150's. I had to go slow to conserve all energy. I was going slow but I was slowly gaining places. When we finished, a guy called Quinn was hot on my tracks. He nearly passed my but I made it by the skin of my teeth

Homework: A1 : Improve Your Maths Ability: Complete A 10x10 Grid In Under Two Minutes.
Over the past three weeks it has been hard to complete the 10x10 grid in two minutes, it was hard because my arm got really sore and I had to do it 3 times a night, as fast as I could go, and man it hurt.
I was so close every time (one or two lines off @_@)
My mum and dad keeped on pressuring me and then I said well you come and do it to my dad and he failed so he said "Lets take a break shall we?," He didn't like to get Pooped on at all.
In the second week of doing that I found I quite easy when it got to the 7 and 8's times tables, they are the really hard ones for me.
I am really good at maths ( Thats what my dad thinks!) and I get good scores in the iKAN Test, but I just can't do a couple of times tables like that. One day all of my work and progress come to a close call when a I only had 5 more equations to do. The day after that I only have 3. And then one day I finished it. Like A Bossss. Here is a photo of my work and progress:

Daily Blog Post: Games you have played.
My game that I chose is Minecraft. The aim of the game is to basically survive the outdoors with the materials provided. Once you have built your house, you need to find food to survive. If you don't get food soon enough, you will most likely die. To get food chop down trees and wait because the apples will drop. If you get sick of waiting, go and look for some pigs, cows, or chickens. If its night time, looks some zombies.
Did You Know? Over 10,946,385 people have bought Minecraft that's a total of: 350,284,320!!!
Once you get enough food you will need to cook it with a furnace and wood, coal, or charcoal. To build a furnace you will need a crafting table to create things such as, swords, pick axes, hoes, axes, shovels, flint and steel, and so on. If you get diomand and stuff, you might like to go to the Nether. I quite like it in the Nether because you get to kill Ghasts, Zombie Pigman, Blazes, and all other scary stuff like that.
To finish the game you have to go to The End , and kill the Ender Dragon. Once you you have gotten into The End, look for the obsidian towers made from obsidian. Take out the healers on top.

My dad has got a job at a gas station. He doesn't get paid much. I have always wanted to go with him to work. I think it would be cool to work at a gas station because he sometimes brings back some food for free. My mum doesn't have a job but she is planning on getting one. She has had a job before but she. Didn't get paid anything at all.
My grandaddy works on an orchard. He get paid lots of money at the end of the year. He has got his own quad ski that I love to ride all the time I got there. I really like to play on the computer. I normally play on Roblox, Minecraft, or Black Ops II on his Windows7
I really like it at my nana and grandaddy's because they have really good food.

Daily Blog Post: iKAN Tests
When I was at primary school, I was really bad at the iKAN test because we were really young. When I was in year six I got stage 5, when I came to Tauranga Intermediate, I was really bad at maths, and at the end of year 7, I was stage 7 because of Mr.P. At the start of term 1 year 8, I got stage 8. YAY!

Everyone is zombified except for a few left to fight for their lives. They must strive to survival, to fight, to get out of this chaos alive. There are all kinds of zombies that the have to fight like a Ram, Butchers,

Killing Two Birds, One Stone:
Achieve two objectives with a single effort. It would be remarkable indeed if someone slinging a stone at a bird got one bird, let alone two. Ovid had a similar expression in Latin nearly 2,000 years ago. Related phrases were in English and French literature by the 16th century. Thomas Hobbes used the modern version in a work on liberty in 1656.

Relative Overview
My special relative is Crocodillie. Crocodillie is 2 years old, a swampy green color, and is an American Crocodile. Crocodillie is really friendly and is best friends with Pickles. He really likes to hang out with him and they never fight. He likes to eat meat, and he likes to growl and chew on things.
I like Pickles and Crocodillie a lot, I like taking them for walks and and playing with them in my spare time. They really like walking themselves if I am doing homework, or they play with each other to excise. I think that they are really special because they have really awesome personalities.

Charging Laptops At School
Charging laptops at school
I think that only a couple of people should be aloud to charge their laptops at the front with the disadvantage of not sitting with their friends. I think that only a couple of charges should be at the front, say like 4-5 at the front that we swap between each other.
I think that if we only have a couple of chargers should be reasonable enough for the whole class and it wont be so cost affective. One bad thing about having a couple of chargers is that if everyone didn't charge their computer then there is going to be a very big que.

Today we went to the Tauranga Art Gallery. We went there for home work. I hated it there because it was really boring, but we saw some really cool art work there though. I really liked a black portrait with white lightning bolt on them as shown below:
I thought that the tall one by Wayne Youle was really artisic and thoughtful, it looks like he spend a long time doing this piece.

There was a really tall one and it looked really cool. It had lots of words that looked really awesome.

These ones ( below ) was one of my mum's favorites in the whole gallery. She really liked the colors of the painting. She also like that how perfectly it was painted by Raye Catran.

The Weekend
On the weekend I had a soccer game. My game was at Te Puna Football Club. When the game started we lost the first 10 minutes when my mate wasn't in goal the ball got too close to the goal so he stuck his hands out and caught the ball because he thought he was in goalie.
When he dropped the ball the referee said it was a free kick for the opposite team. I was disappointed they scored the free kick. About 5 minutes later one of my friends in the game scored a goal. I was worried it might miss, but he got it.
Another 29 minutes, the first half was nearly over and my friend was in front of the goal. I was nervous because he doesn't have a really good shot and when he did shoot at goal, he missed and the goalie missed and it bounced off the post a gave it a really good kick and I scored.
After the game the coach decided to award to me for pushing back and forth, and scoring the goal. The position that I play is definitely not in goal, I play in the back or defense, centre midd-field, not the wings because I suck at it. I can sometimes play attack but I usually never do.
After the long talk, there was a really cool playground with a spinning wheel and there were little kids on it, so me and my friend decided to take over. He pushed and I span the wheel ( there was a spinny thing in the middle of it, you know what I mean. )
When we had finished on the playground we went and bought an ice block and then we went home. once we got home I saw Pickles and I took him for a walk out side and he did get a bit out of control when I played on the trampoline.

I Wonder If
I wonder if a gun can shoot in space?
Yes it can, the modern bullet has got it's on oxidizer the chemical thats triggers the explosion in the gun to make the bullet shoot. The only difference about pulling a trigger on Earth and space is it's smoke trial.
I wonder if there is a gun called Dragon's Breath?
No, it's a type of shotgun ammunition. It shoots little fireballs out of the shotgun shells. they look really cool because they can go 100 ft. ( 38.5 Meters!) The shells were made specifically for the R80 Remington. The flame will last for 3-5 seconds

The 16 Avenue Cemetery
On Friday we went to the 16th Avenue Cemetery. I hated it there because there was a little boy or girl that got accidentally killed at the age of 4. I thought it was really sad because it was a waste of a life. When we got there I felt really sorry for the people that lost a loved one. I really don't want to go back there tomorrow because I hate it there.
There was a lady that let her doggies loose because they had to go for a run and pee and poop any where they want.
