Homework Challenge

Today we went to the Tauranga Art Gallery. We went there for home work.  I hated it there because it was really boring, but we saw some really cool art work there though. I really liked a black portrait with white lightning bolt on them as shown below:

There was a really tall one and it looked really cool. It had lots of words that looked really awesome.
I thought that the tall one by Wayne Youle was really artisic and thoughtful, it looks like he spend a long time doing this piece.
These ones ( below ) was one of my mum's favorites in the whole gallery. She really liked the colors of the painting. She also like that how perfectly it was painted by Raye Catran.

    I love the lightning bolt one too! I don't think much of the one which is just a whole lot of coloured stripes with words. It doesn't exactly seem highly skilled, does it? In contrast, the paintings of the houses are so amazing. But with paintings like this I sometimes wonder, why bother painting, why not just take a photo?
